The Center for Disease Control's WSCC model is a collaborative approach to learning and health that emphasizes the integration of health and education sectors to improve each child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
School Health Index
The CDC's SHI is a self-assessment and planning tool that schools can use to improve their health and safety policies and programs. Nurses can facilitate the use of the SHI in their schools, helping to identify strengths and weaknesses in health policies and develop action plans for improvement.
