March is National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. What started in March 1973 as a week-long event became a month-long observance in 1980 in response to growing public interest in nutrition. The annual campaign focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

“Put Your Best Fork Forward” is the theme for 2017 which serves as a reminder that each one of us holds the tool to make healthier food choices. Making small changes over time (one fork full at a time) helps improve health now and into the future.
